In our research group, we focus on the elaboration of organic cages and catenated cages with well-defined topology, and their hierarchical self-assembly for the search of emerging supramolecular materials with novel properties.
Research Themes
1. Dissymmetric cages, their polymerization and self-assembly
2. Novel desgin and synthetic strategies of catenated cages
3. Hierarchical self-assembly of monomeric cages and catenated cages
4.
Emerging properties of cage-like molecules, including their spontaneous
polarization, water confinement, and fluorescence enhancement.
We are building up a highly interdisciplinary, enthusiastic yet
friendly atmosphere within the research group, and we collaborate with
research groups from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering,
other departments at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and other research
groups at other institutions around the world.
